Eartha Kitt Wins Third Daytime Emmy Award

The late Tony nominee, Eartha Kitt, has won a Daytime Emmy Award in the category of Outstanding Performer in an Animated Program for her voice work as "Cool Cat" in Nickelodeon's movie, "The Wonder Pets."

This is Kitt's third Emmy win in the same category. She previously was awarded twice for her role as Yzma in "The Emperor's New School."

Kitt passed away in 2008 on Christmas Day at the age of 81. The legendary actress, singer and cabaret star was best known for her distinctive vocals and her 1953 hit Christmas song "Santa Baby." She also starred as Catwoman in the original Batman TV series.

The Daytime Emmy award telecast was broadcasted June 28th on CBS.
