Bettie Page LLC and CARD.com Launch a New Bettie Page VISA Prepaid Debit Card: Banking Has Never Been So Beautiful
FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE:
Santa Monica, California, USA - October 11, 2013 - Bettie Page LLC, licensor of the Bettie Page brand, today announced a strategic partnership with the prepaid debit card provider CARD.com to bring a very tempting line of Visa debit cards to the U.S. market-all featuring images of the original "Queen of Pinups." Fans can sign up for an officially licensed Bettie Page card online here: http://bit.ly/1b3UmkE
CARD.com believes that even financial products should reflect consumer lifestyle and brand affinity. CARD.com prepaid debit cards can be used everywhere Visa or MasterCard is accepted. The growing trend in prepaid cards is increasingly embraced by leading financial institutions such as Chase and American Express, and retailers such as Wal-Mart, 7-Eleven and Walgreens. These are not gift cards, but rather bank-issued, fraud-protected, FDIC-insured debit cards with a user-friendly online banking experience. CARD.com Prepaid Cards include 55,000 in-network ATMs, free direct deposit, and free check deposit via the company's highly intuitive mobile app.
"Consumers make purchasing choices every day, from what to buy, to their method of payment, and Card.com provides an opportunity to personalize the experience with a wide variety of prepaid debit card designs," said Clare Neumann, IP Licensing Executive and Legal Counsel for the Bettie Page brand. "We are excited to open this option to the Bettie Page fans, and this partnership gives consumers more options-not just in terms of what kind of card they're using at the register, but also the artistic image on the card and the financial institution sponsoring that card."
"This partnership gives fans of Bettie Page a new way to pay-with something beautiful, sexy and representative of who they are, not who they bank with," said CEO and co-founder of Card.com, Ben Katz. "Our goal is to provide an easy-to-use, affordable banking experience that reflects the passions of consumers. People are looking for alternatives to traditional banks, and we feel good about stepping up and giving them what they want."
The Bettie Page debit card can be used everywhere Visa is accepted, it is 100% FDIC insured and offers a fully featured online banking experience, just like traditional branch banking - but without any overdraft or late fees.

Bettie Page continues to be a style icon years after her death. According to The New York Times, women are bringing back this sweet, yet sexy look.
"More siren than sylph, those women derive a sense of chic, and an unexpected emotional comfort, from reinventing themselves as contemporary incarnations of Ms. Page, or as modern-day retro-vixens like Katy Perry or Lana Del Rey, who have elevated the all-American calendar girl to an emblem of hip femininity."

Fans can choose from four different photographs. Only 50 are available in each print.
These photographs were taken during Camera Club sessions that took place in the private homes of Camera Club members in New York during the 1950's. Bettie Page posed effortlessly during these photograph sessions for several of the members personal collections of photographs on the weekends. At that time, Bettie Page's week day job was of a secretary, but her true life desire was to be a model and actress. At one of these sessions Bettie Page would make more money than she would make in an entire week working as a secretary. Any spectator can see she truly enjoyed her work as a model as it shines through in these four gorgeous shots. Without having to take direction from any of the photographers, Bettie Page could find all of the best angles that featured her curvy and sexy famous figure.
